Denali Dreams

Ronie Kendig

Suspense / Science Fiction / Christian

Catch a glimpse of Denali National Park through the eyes of four courageous women. Karon Granger beat cancer, but can she climb Mt. McKinley—the tallest mountain in North America? Is heiress Jolie Decouteau safe from the rugged terrain and an assassin? Will flightseeing tour guide Deline Tsosi uncover the sabotage that endangers her business—and find her heart melting for an Alaskan ranger? Can love conquer all when the past threatens the protective walls of Deanna Smith’s remote job? Will Denali spell disaster or dream-come-true romance?ReviewIf you're a fan of short stories and romantic suspense, then this is the book for you. While the first story in the group wasn't what I consider suspenseful, the other three definitely were just that. As I tend to like longer, more involved stories, it took me a short while to get used to the pace of these stories. That said, Ronie and Kimberly never disappoint me as authors, and it was fun during the busy Holiday season (when I read these) to have the ability to get bites of romance along with all my other bites of goodies. --Susan Tuttle, Steps Novella collections are entertaining reads when you just want to relax with a sweet story that has that happily-ever-after ending. A bonus was the Alaskan setting that provided insight into the world of mountain climbing. I recommend this book to those who enjoy light inspirational romances. --Carole Jarvis, The Power of Words Book DescriptionVast and rugged, Denali National Park brings adventure and love into the lives of four courageous women. Will cancer survivor Karon reach Mt. McKinley’s summit? Will heiress Jolie survive against the terrain and an assassin? Will flightseeing tour guide Deline save her stalling business? Will love conquer all for ranger Deanna?

The author keeps a journal in her early days as a mother, a time when her faith, her expectations, and her fears ran a gamut. Becker tells how impressed she has always been with intelligence, and now her little girl will lack this gift so important to Becker. Or would she? Each journal entry opens a new chapter of Penny's growth, and with every change in Penny comes a corresponding response of grateful joy in everyone else. Becker's work is introspective and theologically inquisitive, leading readers to ask the same questions this mother asks herself as her world tilted off its axis. --Publishers Weekly From the Back CoverSometimes Joy Shows Up When You Least Expect It Things don't always go as planned--especially when it comes to our children. They unfold in a variety of settings, from ancient Bethlehem to rural England. From a small Texas town to the heavenly realms. Some are short. Others many chapters long. Some offer reflections. The mystery of how God became flesh, why he chose to come, and how much he must love his people. Such mysteries can never be solved, just as love can never be diagrammed.
